| Shenzhen is an international transportation hub. There are a few convenient ways to come to the city.
By airShenzhen Bao'an International Airport serves many domestic and international airlines. It is very easy to find buses and taxis at the airport.
To go to downtown Shenzhen, you can either take a taxi or the direct coach 330. The coach service runs every 20 minutes, from 7:30 a.m. till the arrival of the last flight. Its destination is Hualian Mansion in Futian District, and will be extended to the railway station in Luohu District.
By landThere are train and bus services connecting Shenzhen with Hong Kong, Guangzhou and many domestic cities. The trains and buses from Hong Kong and Guangzhou run very often, so it is very easy get a ticket. The railway station in complex in Luohu District is the destination for most of them.
By waterThe city also has a ferry terminal at Shekou in Nanshan District, with shuttle services from/to Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai.
For travelers from Hong Kong, the ferry service is especially useful on weekends and holidays, when the Luohu border checkpoint is often crowded with Hong Kong residents.
Visa and CurrencyVisitor visas are required for foreign tourists. Authorized travel agencies in Hong Kong and Macau can arrange group visas for tourists traveling in groups.
Most foreign currencies can be exchanged at local banks and large hotels. Bank of China provides services for credit cards issued overseas.
In the year of 2004, all the 16 towns belonging to Bao'an and Longgang districts changed into street offices.
